Natural Honey – Mandarin

This honey has a clear golden colour and a fresh citrus finish. It is made from nectar collected in orchards of the locally branded Ebisu mandarin orange in Mihonoseki, giving it a fruity aroma that is difficult to find elsewhere. Although rich, it has a light, smooth mouthfeel. Enjoy it on bread or yoghurt, or try a spoonful on its own; it is recommended for people who prefer a less heavy honey.

The honey is raw, with no filtration or heat treatment, preserving its natural aroma and components. The producer notes that raw honey naturally contains constituents such as propolis, royal jelly, and enzymes. Matured honey is described as being absorbed by the body as glucose and fructose.
